Maison Vetivert Chambre D’Hote & Retreat is a stunning, typical French town house that has been sympathetically modernised, located in a tranquil village just a few kilometers outside the enchanting medieval city of Carcassonne. We cater to individuals on many levels, from simple continental breakfast style B&B, through to relaxing weekend breaks including dinners from home grown organic produce and fine local wines if required. We also specialize in catering to group breaks such as yoga retreats, life coaching weekends, detox clinics, maybe even a touch of fire walking! With plans to develop a number of self-catering gites on site, Maison Vetivert Chambre D’Hote & Retreat is the ultimate place to relax. The main house is also available as either a self catered holiday let for families or alternatively as a chalet style holiday let whereby we can provide either full or half board. We provide a healthy haven for like-minded souls in a stunning part of the world. All smiles welcome……with so much to enjoy in the surrounding area you may find a week isn’t long enough!! The main house comprises of 5 double rooms, which have been tastefully modernized, most en suite. The facility has a wonderful centralized living room, a huge social kitchen area, an established private garden, sun patio, and pool. Guests have the option of either bed & breakfast, half or full board accommodation and we endeavour to cater to all requests. Off road parking available. Independent from the main house there is a 2-bedroom gite available. The house is also available as a holiday let for families and groups, either on a self-catered basis; half or full board, a similar concept to ski chalet. The house sleeps 12. On site is a spa managed by Andrea specializing in aromatherapy and massage, and soon to come a yoga room, sauna and Jacuzzi for the ultimate in relaxation. High speed Internet and satellite TV should you feel the urge to plug in. Carcasonne airport being the closest at just 20 minutes away, with direct flights back to many UK and European airports. Toulouse, Perpignan and even Girona airports are also all easily accessible. Centrally located in the Languedoc, guests can explore the fabulous city of Carcasonne, it’s surrounding area and many fabulous wine houses. The more adventurous could be involved in mountain biking or hiking the many trails, even white water rafting. Frances’ signature water sports beaches for windsurfing and kite surfing are under an hour way at Cap Leucate. Through the winter months we are just an hour from several local ski stations.
